Babita Angle Prabhudesai, born on December 29, 1966, has an impressive academic and professional background. She excelled academically, achieving the status of a state ranker in the Goa higher education board for Std X and completing her MBBS at Goa University. Subsequently, she earned her Post Graduation in Pathology from the same institution in 1999. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident through her participation in numerous CMEs and national-level conferences. As a fellow of the International College of Surgeons, she has made significant contributions to the medical field, including serving as a consultant pathologist at Victor Apollo Hospital for three years from September 2014 to June 2017. She is an active member and current President of IMA Margao Branch, having served on its executive committee for the past seven years. Beyond her professional achievements, Babita is a dynamic individual. She has held the position of Mayor of Margao for four years, from November 2015 to December 2019. In sports, she has represented her state twice as a Badminton player at the national level. Her diverse interests include travel, nature, bird conservation, high-altitude trekking, and theater, where she has won multiple awards in state-level drama competitions and even appeared in Konkani and Marathi movies.
