Dr. Rifat Latifi is currently the Chairman of Surgery Consultants International LLC in Tucson, Arizona, and an adjunct professor of surgery at the University of Arizona. He previously served as Chairman and tenured Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College, School of Medicine, and as Director of the Department of Surgery at Westchester Medical Center Health Network in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Latifi is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the International College of Surgeons (ICS), and the Kosova College of Surgeons (KCS). He held the position of Minister of Health of the Republic of Kosova from November 2021 to October 2022, where he initiated significant healthcare transformation, focusing on digitalization, research, and quality improvement. Dr. Latifi is a prolific author, editor, and member of various surgical organizations, with a strong commitment to global surgery and telemedicine. He has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to healthcare and telehealth.
