Dr. Michele Y. Griffith, an Internal Medicine specialist with over 30 years of experience, is a pioneer in telemedicine, having used it since 2008. A member of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH) since 2012, she advocates for global telemedicine expansion and increased female representation. In 2022, she made history by becoming the first female President of ISfTeH. Dr. Griffith has practiced in both acute care and outpatient settings, emphasizing preventive care for over 15 years. She served as Medical Director at Premise Health for Fortune 100 company, TIAA, and founded 21stMD.com, a platform for telemedicine advocacy and digital health consulting. She now works with Calibrate, a telemedicine startup focused on obesity management. Dr. Griffith is a sought-after international lecturer on Telemedicine and digital health. She holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Yale School of Medicine, and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, with certifications in Integrative Medicine and business leadership in Integrative Medicine from Duke University. Outside of medicine, she enjoys travel, outdoor activities, the arts, and quality time with her 5 children.
